I like to be upfront with my clients and try to quote every project I work on fairly. I’m not the cheapest marketing communications & technical writer around, but I’m not the most expensive one either. My clients hire me because I do my job well and allow them to spend their time on other business matters. I prefer quoting by the project but I do offer hourly rates and monthly retainers for clients who’d rather work that way.

(Minimum one hour, billed in half-hour increments; local travel included)

Marketing copywriting / Technical writing / Editing (if requested hourly) …..$60-80/hour
(Minimum one hour, billed in quarter-hour increments)

PR consulting, PR campaign planning and other PR activities………………$60-80/hour
Usually billed hourly or on retainer (Minimum one hour, billed in quarter-hour increments)
